SAISONNIER2016

SAISONNIERE is another ode  to places seen through the personal experience of the rubric of time. The soundtrack includes vocal text  in English and in French, texts which are themselves portraits of specific experiences in a specific moment in time and memory; which are not descriptive of image or other sounds of the film, but designed to merge with them to create a singular reality. Abstract sound and microscopic sound (a drop of water recorded to “sound” large, like a waterfall), are integral to these films. All vocal material exists in English and in French, so as to be understood by both native speakers. French is used also for its sonorous qualities, and because it is so exact, and at moments, so capricious, in its whimseys of potential metaphor.
